Therapeutic Recreation programs are specialized, goal-oriented programs that assist individuals with disabilities and various health conditions to improve physical rehabilitation, leisure education, and community reintegration. Contact the Therapeutic Recreation Center at (757) 441-1764 to set up an individualized intake assessment with a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) to start the registration process.  

FALL TR PROGRAMS: “Fall” registration begins on Monday, August 29th at 10am and ends a week before each class start date.

Ages 6 & Up • Run, walk, or roll a 5K (3.1 miles) or 1 mile loop that starts and ends at the TR Center. Race begins at 9am. This event is open to everyone! $20 early registration fee until 10/14. $25 until registration closes at 8:30am on 10/29. Awards for top three times in each age group and the best costume! T-shirts will be given out the day of the race. Light refreshments and award ceremony following.
